As CEO, Matthew Fox is responsible for overseeing the company’s operations, developing the growth strategy, and delivering revenue and profitability. Prior to joining Pairnomix, Matthew served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc., leading business intelligence efforts, developing and maintaining trade and advocacy partnerships, and sourcing new opportunities to expand and grow the business. Prior to that role, Matthew spent ten years professionally investing globally in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies and served as a Portfolio Manager at Bank am Bellevue in Zurich, Switzerland. He holds a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior from Wesleyan University (CT).
Dr. David Goldstein
Dr. David Goldstein serves as Professor of Genetics and Development in the College of Physicians and Surgeons and Director of the Institute for Genomic Medicine at Columbia University (NY). He is an investigator and key advisor for CURE’s Epilepsy Genetics Initiative, a groundbreaking project dedicated to advancing epilepsy genetics. David is also a member of Epi4K, an international consortium of doctors, scientists and researchers working together to further our understanding of the genetic basis of epilepsy. He received his PhD in Biological Sciences from Stanford University.
Dr. William Pullman
As Chief Scientific Officer, Head of Research and Development at Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc., Dr. William (Bill) Pullman oversees scientific affairs, including clinical, medical, regulatory, program management and pharmaceutical development. Before joining Upsher-Smith, Bill served as Chief Research and Development Officer and Chief Development Officer at Dyax Corp., Chief Medical Officer at Cubist Pharmaceuticals, and Senior Vice President, Exploratory Development at TransForm Pharmaceuticals. He completed his primary medical training at the University of Western Australia and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians. Bill received his PhD in Medicine and Clinical Science (Immunology) from the Australian National University.
As Chief Financial Officer at Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc. and at Pairnomix, Chad Martinson oversees operating and strategic financial strategy. Prior to joining Upsher-Smith, Chad worked his way through many areas of concentration at Medtronic, including corporate finance, business unit finance, sales and marketing, and sales operations, ultimately taking on the role of Vice President, Finance and Business Development for the company's neuromodulation division. Chad also spent eight years at KPMG in the audit practice. He holds a B.A. in Accounting and Communications from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts.
As president at Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc., Rusty Field drives the near term direction and operation performance of the company. His primary responsibilities involve managing corporate operations, developing business strategy, expanding the company’s portfolio of products and programs, and delivering revenue and profitability to meet the company’s growth and future success objectives. Rusty joined Upsher-Smith in 2014 after five years with United Healthcare, where he was responsible for distribution strategy and channel development. Before that, he spent twenty years with Ameriprise Financial, where he held senior executive sales, marketing and general management positions. Rusty holds a B.A. in Economics from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
Over the last 15 years, Mark Evenstad has served as Chief Executive Officer of Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc., driving the company’s corporate strategy to deliver better health outcomes to improve individuals’ lives. Currently, Mark directs Upsher-Smith’s long-term growth planning by building strong industry relationships and sourcing new business development opportunities that add high-value, high-quality therapies to the Upsher-Smith portfolio. Outside of work, Mark has contributed to his local community as a member of the Breck School Board of Trustees and Young Presidents Organization. Mark holds a B.A. in Business and an M.B.A. in Venture Management from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.
