SCARB2 is a gene encoding the scavenger receptor class B member 2 protein, also referred to as the lysosomal integral membrane protein type-2 (LIMP-2). This protein contributes to the functioning of lysosomes within cells. The effects of specific mutations in SCARB2 may be challenging to determine because they are not easily measured in cellular models.

Providing modelling and drug screening services for SCARB2 can be a complicated process. For this reason, we may be limited in our abilities to provide research services for mutations in this gene at this time. Please contact us with interests and inquiries.
