LGI1 is a gene encoding leucine-rich, glioma-inactivated protein 1, also called epitempin-1. This protein affects potassium ion entry cells and modulates the cellular excitability as well as transmission of signals between cells. The effects of specific mutations in LGI1 may be difficult to determine because they are not easily measured in cellular models.

Providing modelling and drug screening services for LGI1 can be a complicated process. For this reason, we may be limited in our abilities to provide research services for mutations in this gene at this time. Please contact us with interests and inquiries.
