CLN8 is a gene encoding the protein known as ceroid-lipofuscinosis, neuronal 8. This protein is thought to be involved in the movement of proteins to and from the intracellular compartment known as the endoplasmic reticulum within cells. The effects of specific mutations in CLN8 can be difficult to determine because they are not easily measured in cellular models.
Providing modelling and drug screening services for CLN8 can be a complicated process. For this reason, we may be limited in our abilities to provide research services for mutations in this gene at this time. Please contact us with interests and inquiries.
