KCNT1 is a gene encoding the KCa4.1 potassium channel. This channel allows potassium ions to leave the cell and helps facilitate the transmission of electrical signals between cells. The effects of specific mutations in KCNT1 can be ascertained by introducing a replica of the gene containing a particular mutation into cells and then measuring the electrical activities of those cells.

We are pleased to offer our mutation characterization and drug screening services for eligible pathogenic mutations within KCNT1 at the current rate of $50,000 and an anticipated timeline of six months. Please contact us with interests and inquiries.
